Acting according to Stanislavsky
(Russian Drama Course).

The purpose of this course is to master the discipline of Acting. During the course, students will learn practical professional skills that will help them to become competitive, highly skilled and competent professionals capable of self-improvement and development in the continuously changing spiritual and cultural life of our society.
You have probably already heard of Stanislavsky's famous system, which focuses on the structural study of methods for stage work. According to it, the actor's skill consists of two parts:
- Work on the self-image. This includes imagination and attention, ability to communicate, emotional memory, sense of rhythm, speech technique, stress tolerance, etc.
- Work on the role. This is about the performance art of the act, the merging of the actor with the image of the character.
Our course is divided into three stages:
- The first stage is action as the basic element of the actor's technique. Relation of conduct to the proposed circumstances. The expediency of the action. The nonverbal elements of action, namely, how to communicate without words, using nonverbal tools.
- The second stage is expressiveness and brightness of the behavior as a basis of the actor's performance in front of the audience. Verbal elements of action. Their connection with the nonverbal elements of action. Working with a partner on interaction, influencing his memory, emotions, mind, and spirit. Shifting the focus of attention, shifting the center of gravity.
- The third stage is the technique of creating a character on stage. From visualization to the creation of the persona - gait, intonation, characteristic features of the persona. Mastering the skill of working with creative energy and its exchange with the partner and the spectator. According to Stanislavsky, radiance, as well as technical methods of influencing the viewer.
We will teach you:
- How to get liberated.
- How to work with your range of emotions.
- How to improvise.
- How to make your voice strong and confident.
And much more. We look forward to seeing you in class.
