Mangesh Bansod, India 2022

     
 
 

Dr Mangesh Bansod is an Associate Professor in Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra State University, India.
He is Ph.D. in Tamasha folk Theatre of Maharashtra State, India. From the past 16 years he has been teaching in the department of theatre. He is a writer and director. He has written marathi drama as well as directed dramas and Tamasha folk theatre. He has produced more than 10 plays for the department of theatre with renowned directors of India and the globe. He has also organized national and international theatre festivals and theatre conferences in the University of Mumbai. He has worked as a Director (I/C) for the Academy of Theatre Arts for more than 3 years. 
 
 
'Folk Theatre Acting' (Tamasha)
 
This acting workshop will be based on the Tamasha folk theatre acting. 
Tamasha is a very popular folk theatre in Maharashtra State, India. 
The Folk Theater has a tradition of 300 years. This acting style is very flexible in which the actors are spontaneous. They present a stable mindset and good sense of humor.
