
Eileen Jackson, Ireland

Eileen is based in Paris, France. As a dramaturge/director, her recent creations include An Experiment with An Air Pump by Shelagh Stephenson, O Go My Man by Stella Feehily, A Slight Hangover by Ian Ogilvy, Rumors by Neil Simon, The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams, and Nude with Violin by Noël Coward, which were performed in Paris, France. In 2008, she founded a physical theatre training programme. She writes, leads workshops, and works as movement coach. She has trained with Monika Pagneux, Ariane Mnouchkine, Jacques Lecoq, Magenia Mime and the Roy Hart. In 2012, she participated in the making of the film and book, Inside/Outside about the life and work of Monika Pagneux. She has a Ph.D. in Theatre Studies from Trinity College, Dublin.
Awake the Breath, Body and Voice
An approach to the voice through Feldenkrais to release the body dynamic of sound. Exploring tone, tension and physicality of the voice. Explore relationships between breathing and delivery of a text; voice dynamic, emotion, intention. Participants are invited to work barefoot or to wear light gym shoes. Bring water.
